New players open the summon menu after a long session, look for a sell button and do not find one. Units are sold in two other places, and the faster of the two carries a risk that is not spelled out in the interface. This page covers both routes and when each is appropriate.
The fast route: bulk sell duplicates in Settings
The Settings menu carries an option to sell duplicate units, which clears a summoning backlog in a single action. The caveat is significant: it may also sell duplicate Shiny units, and it is not currently clear how the system treats them. A Shiny duplicate is not the same kind of duplicate as an ordinary one - it can be worth more than the original of a different unit - so a bulk action that treats them identically can be expensive. Use this route when your backlog is genuinely all common material and you have not pulled anything Shiny since your last cleanup.
The safe route: the Dealer
The Dealer stands on the right side of the main lobby as you spawn. Talking to him opens a Deals menu where you select individual units to sell. It is slower, and after a few hundred summons it is noticeably slower, but you decide every single line. If you are doing volume summoning, this is the route worth building the habit around, because the cost of the bulk option is asymmetric: a slow sale wastes minutes, while a wrong bulk sale can remove something you were saving.
Why an unclear mechanic should be treated as the bad case
The honest state of knowledge here is that nobody has published exactly what the bulk duplicate sale does with Shinies. When a mechanic is undocumented and the downside is irreversible, the correct response is not to guess and not to wait for someone else to test it on your inventory. It is to use the route where the outcome is fully visible. This is the same reasoning that applies to anything permanent in the game: the value of certainty rises with how badly the mistake would hurt, and losing a Shiny you cannot re-roll is at the painful end of that scale.
Keeping the backlog small in the first place
The cleanest fix is not to accumulate hundreds of unsorted units. Selling through the Dealer after each summoning session keeps the review short enough that you actually look at what you are selling, whereas a backlog of several hundred invites exactly the bulk action that carries the risk. If you do a large session, sorting once at the end while you still remember what you pulled is far more reliable than sorting the same inventory a week later.
