Beginner's Guide: Your First HourThe House TD 2 · Updated 2026-08-19
The House TD 2 - Launch drops you into a haunted lobby with almost no tutorial, and since the game is early beta there is no official manual either. Here is the exact order we recommend for your first hour, based on the systems that are confirmed in the current build.
Step-by-Step
- Claim Kitty first. Join the DeadB Studios community group on Roblox, return to the lobby and claim the free Kitty unit (Epic tier, Holy faction). It is the only confirmed free unit and carries your first floors.
- Find the Summoning area: walk straight ahead from spawn down the corridor - the summon zone with the Skeleton NPC is at the mid-point. Interact with the Skeleton to open summons.
- Know the summon math before spending: a single summon costs about 100 Gold Coins, with 10x and 50x batch options. If you have a Luck Potion, drink it BEFORE summoning to raise your odds of higher-tier units.
- Set your loadout: at the bottom of the lobby screen you can equip and order up to 5 units - this is the team you take into a run. Early on, put Kitty plus your best summons in.
- Open the Daily Login Reward (calendar icon, top-left) - free Coins or Voodoo Tokens every 24 hours. Do this every session; it is the only reliable free income besides playing.
- Start on the House map, floor 1. It is the tutorial-in-disguise. Use 1x or 2x speed on a new layout until your placements hold, then turn on auto-skip and 3x to farm faster.
- Save your Voodoo Tokens. Do not spend them on random curses - the community consensus is to stack them for Nightmare, the strongest known curse (see our Curses guide).
Tips & Notes
- Team size is 12 players max per server, so full co-op lobbies are chaotic but fast - joining a group of experienced players is the quickest way to learn floor layouts.
- Match your team toward one faction when you can: end-of-run faction coins pay out based on the MAJORITY faction of your squad.
